How to enter:

Picture Competition

• Take a picture with yourself holding our special competition flyer** in a special place – at the top of St.Pauls, Eiffel Tower, while skydiving etc…
• Follow the instructions below for posting it on the site.
• The picture taken in the most unusual place will win £50 and a specially commisioned T-Shirt
• 9 runners up will get a T-Shirt

Video Competition

• Make a video blog in your own style that in some way helps to promote the um-uk.org site. The main point is positive creative expression.
  You can use music, visual art, text, people, etc. It could just be you/ your family/ or someone else saying “I like um-uk.org”.
  You may want to explain very little or you may want to put a powerful message into your video. Again, it’s your choice.
  You can do it alone, with friends, as a community, as elders, as a youth group, as a family, etc.
  But the second main point is, get involved in collective community creativity.
  Your video should not be longer than 4 mins.

• The best video will win £70 and a specially commisioned T-Shirt
• 9 runners up will get a T-Shirt

Closing date for both competitions is November 30th

Uploading Instructions:

Video:

• Make sure your signed out of your gmail account if you have one
• go to http://www.youtube.com/
• Click Sign In at the top right
• username: famfireplace
• pw: cheonilguk12
• Click on Upload at the top and follow the instructions
• Put a title in and description
• Once the video is uploaded sign out where it says “famfireplace” at the top right

• Open an account at http://fireplace.um-uk.org/ (top right below the orange tabs)
• make a blog ( login, then see Help – knowledgebase – “Blog – How to create one” at the very top)
• Create a new blog post

Now get the link for the video:

• Search for your title in youtube or
• Go to http://www.youtube.com/famfireplace and find your video
• Below the video click on the Share button
• Copy your youtube link you see there into your post.
• Finish the post and add a tag at the right hand side “Post Tags”. The tag should be “video competition”
• Publish your post (blue button on the right)
• Log out
• Phew – thats it!

 Photo

• Open an account at http://fireplace.um-uk.org/ (top right below the orange tabs)
• make a blog ( login, then see Help – knowledgebase – “Blog – How to create one” at the very top)
• Create a new blog post
• Upload and insert your image using the Upload/Insert button at the top right of your post the Edit Page
• Finish the post and add a tag at the right hand side “Post Tags”. The tag should be “Photo competition”
• Publish your post (blue button on the right)
• Log out
• Thats it!
